Mary Beth Daisey

Mary Beth Daisey is the vice chancellor of student affairs at Rutgers–Camden, a position she has held since 2003. She joined the Rutgers community in 1986 as a residence life director and career counselor at Rutgers–New Brunswick. She then became acting regional office director, a position she held until 1991. She returned to Rutgers in 1993 and, prior to her current position, served as assistant dean of external affairs and career services at the law school where she directed career placement efforts on behalf of students as well as the law school’s alumni relations endeavors. 

As vice chancellor, Daisey oversees a wide array of student services, including residence life, the career center, student wellness, campus involvement, athletics, recreation, career planning, campus center, international students and programs, veterans and Title IX. She also serves on campus and university committees on assessment, academic integrity, campus climate, safety, disability & access, undocumented students, retention and diversity. In addition, she acts as the student ombudsman for the Camden Campus. 

Daisey is a member of the Chief Student Affairs Officers of New Jersey, American Association of Colleges and Universities, and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. 

The Division of Student Affairs works to improve the quality of student life for all students and the campus community. Programs and services complement the academic programs; help prepare students for successful careers; develop services and programs to allow students to remain healthy and active; promote student leadership and professional development; help students address special needs or difficulties; provide opportunities for students to be involved on campus in athletics, in organizations, and in administrative committees; and develop services, programs, and events to expand students’ minds and horizons.
